Each have their own unique points of geological interest and their own unique beautiy - stalagtites and stalagmites, enchanting rock formations, underground rivers and lakes, etc. The images below are of the Grotte de Limousis, near Carcassonne in Aude. It is open from April to October, with a guided tour throgh 8 halls, tunnels, past an underground pool and with spectacular views of calcite and argonite crystals.
